We're Starting the Year Quite Well: Artak Manukyan on Economic Growth
The economic activity indicator for January 2020 has been published. “We are starting the year quite well; specifically, in January, there was an 8.9% economic growth compared to January of the previous year. The industrial growth was more than 13%, while construction increased by 7.7%. Overall, the numbers are quite good, but it is particularly encouraging to see an export growth of over 20%, against an import increase of around 2%. It is important that the pace of export growth continues to remain leading,” wrote Artak Manukyan, Deputy Chairman of the Financial and Budgetary Commission of the National Assembly of Armenia.
