I Have Come to Support My President: 'Arkad of Derzhava'
As we reported earlier, the first court session regarding Serzh Sargsyan’s case is about to commence at the Yerevan Jurisdictional Court’s Avan and Nor-Nork administrative premises. In support of Serzh Sargsyan’s initiative, former member of the National Assembly from the Republican Party of Armenia, businessman Arkadi Hambardzumyan, known as 'Arkad of Derzhava', is also present outside the court.
Responding to a journalist's question about why he is participating in the rally, Hambardzumyan stated, 'I have come to support my president; it’s the human relationships that have compelled me to come here.'
When asked about reports alleging he forced his employees from his businesses to participate in today’s rally, Hambardzumyan clarified that he did not compel anyone. However, he noted that whenever he goes somewhere, his employees accompany him. 'I have not given orders for them to come; they participated in 2018 as well without my instruction. We have respect, we have honor, and people come with me,' said the former parliament member.
It is also noteworthy that supporters of Serzh Sargsyan have gathered in front of the court, including Galust Sahakyan, Armen Ashtoyan, and other political figures.
