Court Proceedings Continue in the Case of Robert Kocharyan and Others
The court proceedings in the case of the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, and others continue on February 25 at the Shengavit residence of the Yerevan Court of First Instance.
It is worth noting that at this stage, the discussion revolves around the defense lawyers' motion to terminate the criminal prosecution. Specifically, the lawyers argue against the admissibility of Article 300.1 of the Criminal Code, claiming that it was introduced a year after the alleged offense and cannot have retroactive effect. This is particularly relevant considering the precedent of the "case of seven." Previously, similar motions had also been submitted by the lawyers of other defendants.
