Classes Are Not Being Held at Gyumri's School No. 19

Teachers and parents at Gyumri's School No. 19 have declared a strike today, refusing to bring their children to school. This action is a response from the educational and parental community against a court decision to reinstate former principal Narine Mesropyan.

According to Shantnews, instead of students, parents gathered at the school this morning. Members of the parents' council and teachers collectively decided to strike and halt classes. Following the court ruling, Narine Mesropyan is to be reinstated in her position. Both parents and educators have expressed that they do not wish to work with the former principal.

It is noteworthy that Narine Mesropyan was dismissed from her position on March 1, 2019, at the request of the Shirak regional prosecutor. Legal charges were brought against her for abuse of office and forgery of official documents.
