An Interagency Task Force Will Be Established to Reform the Military
An interagency task force will be established to reform the military. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this in an interview with Public Television, addressing the deaths of 13 servicemen in peacetime during 2020.
"Significant personnel changes have occurred in the military, and it is crucial to understand what is happening. Accidental deaths and illnesses are one thing, while non-statutory relations are another. Soon, an interagency task force will be created that will make military reforms its working theme, and I hope we will continue the reforms in the military and be able to proceed with the historical minimum of casualty cases in the army," emphasized Pashinyan.
He noted that in 2019, Armenia recorded a historical minimum of military casualties for all reasons. There has never been a lower number of casualties in the army for all reasons than in 2019," he stressed.
