International Partners Surprised: Nikol Pashinyan

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed the issue of presenting the draft constitutional amendments to the Venice Commission in an interview with Petros Ghazaryan. He noted that during his visit to Germany, he had discussions regarding the current situation.

He mentioned that international partners are surprised that during the transformational period surrounding the formation of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia, there have been behind-the-scenes agreements and similar processes.

“I have drawn the attention of our European partners to the fact that this entire process, which involves the abuse of the law, has taken place under the scrutiny of the Venice Commission,” said the Prime Minister.

According to him, the Venice Commission must respond to this issue. “We will discuss this matter with our European partners,” he added, emphasizing that it is crucial to understand how they will approach the issue related to the Venice Commission.
