Idlib Operation is Now a Matter of Seconds: Erdogan
Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan addressed the parliamentary group meeting of the ruling Justice and Development Party regarding the tense Turkish-Syrian relations, as reported by Ermenihaber.
Erdogan warned that if the countries involved in the Syrian issue do not allay Turkey's security concerns, Turkey will have no choice but to take action. According to Erdogan, this is their final warning to the Syrian government forces to cease operations in Idlib and withdraw their troops, adhering to the Sochi agreement.
Erdogan noted that no results have been achieved in talks with Russia regarding the issue so far. “Turkey is prepared in every way to implement its operational plans regarding Idlib. As is often the case with any operation, we reiterate that ‘we can arrive unexpectedly one night.’ In simple terms, the Idlib operation is now a matter of seconds,” said the Turkish president.
He also emphasized Turkey's determination to turn Idlib into a safe zone and expressed confidence that Turkey will not leave Idlib in the hands of the Syrian government forces and their supporters.
