«Irates». Did Tsarukyan and Vanetsyan Meet?
«Irates» newspaper writes: “Recently, Gagik Tsarukyan, who is unwilling to participate in the referendum, met with former NSS director Arthur Vanetsyan, according to the newspaper's sources. The reason for their meeting remains unclear, but it is evident that Tsarukyan did not visit Vanetsyan for discussions that could be described as 'authority-friendly' given Vanetsyan's expressed desire to create an opposition force.
According to the same source, the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party has found himself in a difficult situation: on one hand, he cannot openly wage war against Pashinyan, as tax inspections would intensify and previous dealings would resurface. On the other hand, he does not wish to be complicit in the actions of the government. This leaves him in a position of outwardly appearing oppositional while internally existing in a vague state that is neither government, nor alternative, nor a clear opposition.
