It Is Unforgivable to Deprive a Child of Kindergarten Due to Absences Caused by Illness, Says Anna Javakhyan
Anna Javakhyan, a member of the Yerevan City Council from the 'My Step' faction, wrote on her Facebook page: "Recently, many parents have approached me whose children have nearly reached the annual threshold of 40 absences due to illness and may be excluded from kindergarten. Therefore, I have decided to propose a revision of the absence registration procedure. No child becomes sick by choice, and I believe it is unforgivable to deprive a child of attending kindergarten due to illness-related absences, while constantly reminding the parent of this and forcing them to bring a sick child to kindergarten. I emphasize the need for a systematic solution to this issue."
