Germany is an Important and Successful Model of Parliamentary Governance for Armenia: Pashinyan
Since 2018, Armenia has been transitioning to a parliamentary governance system, and Germany is a very important and successful model for Armenia in terms of parliamentary governance. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a joint press conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin.
“I want to highlight another aspect of our interests in our relationship with Germany. As you know, since 2018, Armenia has been transitioning to a parliamentary governance system, and Germany is a very important and successful model for us in this regard. Being an effective, strong state, Germany has clear mechanisms of checks and balances in place, where democracy is no longer in doubt and historically, it is irreversible. In this respect, our relations with Germany are very important, and we will discuss the current developments in Armenia and our reform agenda with the Chancellor,” emphasized Pashinyan.
