Gagik Tsarukyan Calls for Immediate Establishment of Investigative Commission Following Military Deaths

Gagik Tsarukyan, the leader of the Prosperous Armenia faction in the National Assembly, addressed reporters on February 13 regarding the recent deaths in the military. He emphasized the need for a thorough investigation and called for punishment for those responsible for encouraging suicide among soldiers.

“Every MP and citizen is concerned today. Anyone should be able to place themselves in the shoes of the parents of fallen soldiers. A parent is ready to send their child to the army, but to what extent do we push a child that they resort to suicide? This has been happening frequently in recent days. An investigative commission must be established immediately to examine and determine the causes of this issue. It is very sad, and I truly sympathize; it breaks a person’s heart,” Tsarukyan said.
