Eric Grigoryan Received the Ambassador of Russia to Armenia

Environmental Minister Eric Grigoryan met with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Armenia, Mr. Sergey Kopirkin.

During the meeting, the prospects of expanding cooperation with the Russian Federation in the field of environmental protection were discussed.

Minister Grigoryan presented to Ambassador Kopirkin the progress of reforms being implemented in Armenia's environmental policy, particularly focusing on large-scale reforestation programs. In this context, Minister Grigoryan introduced the idea of the "Innovative Climate Financial Mechanism" developed by the Ministry of Environment.

Ambassador Kopirkin expressed his willingness to continue discussions after becoming familiar with the details of the proposed mechanism.

The parties also addressed issues related to the upcoming visit of Dmitry Kobylkin, the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation, to Armenia.
