Prosecution's Appeal Related to the Murder Case of Pghos Pghosyan Accepted for Review
An appeal by the Deputy Attorney General has led to the initiation of a review process concerning the murder case of Pghos Pghosyan due to new circumstances that have emerged. This was announced to Azatutyun by the Judicial Department of Armenia.
The appeal has been assigned to Court of Appeals Judge Rubik Mkhitarian. A court session has been scheduled for February 27.
It is noteworthy that on January 23, the Court of Appeals received an appeal from the Prosecutor General related to the case of Pghos Pghosyan, who was murdered by a bodyguard of then-President Robert Kocharyan in 2001. The Deputy Attorney General had previously submitted a request to the Court of Appeals to revise and completely overturn the decision of the lower court.
