Roads Closed to Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake in Aragatsotn Region and Lars

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that as of February 8 at 13:20, there are closed and difficult-to-pass roads within the Republic of Armenia.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed for all types of vehicles. The roads leading to Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake in the Aragatsotn region are also closed. The Sotiq-Karvachar, Abovyan-Hatis, Abovyan-Sevaberd, Abovyan-Kaputan, and roads in Ani region are difficult to traverse.

In the Aparan and Tsaghkadzor regions of Aragatsotn, as well as in the Syunik and Gegharkunik regions, there are spots of black ice on roads, especially in the section of the Artik-Akhuryan road near Jajur. Blizzards are reported on the Sotiq-Karvachar road in the regions of Shirak, specifically in Ashotsk, Amasia, and in the Aragatsotn region's Aparan area.

Snowfall is occurring in regions such as Tavujs, Lori's Spitak, Vanadzor, Stepanavan, Tashir, Shirak's Gyumri, Gegharkunik's Gavar, Sevan, Vayots Dzor's Jermuk city, on the Saravan-Zanger road section, in Aparan city of Aragatsotn region, in the Tsaghkadzor area, and in the city of Hrazdan in Kotayk region, as well as in the
