The Case of Former Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan's Brother in Court
The case against Henrik Abrahamyan, the brother of former Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, was filed in court on February 3. The case will be examined by Judge Grigor Hovhannisyan of the Ararat and Vayots Dzor General Jurisdiction Court.
It is noteworthy that Henrik Abrahamyan is charged under Article 235, Part 2 of the RA Criminal Code (illegally keeping firearms and military ammunition by prior agreement with a group of individuals). A criminal charge has also been brought against Ambik Gevorgyan, a resident of the village of Mrgevets, who, in prior agreement with Henrik Abrahamyan, illegally stored military ammunition in the territory of the former mechanical repair factory in Mkhchyan, Ararat province, which is officially registered in Gevorgyan's name but actually belongs to Hovik Abrahamyan.
A bail has been selected as the measure of restraint for Henrik Abrahamyan, while a signature on not leaving the country has been imposed on Ambik Gevorgyan.
