Robert Kocharyan's Case Against Businesswoman Silva Hambardzumyan Has Been Suspended

The legal team of the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, has issued a statement: "The case of the second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan against businesswoman Silva Hambardzumyan has been suspended. Further detailed information will be provided after receiving the decision from Edik Avetisyan, the first-instance judge of Yerevan.

The lawsuit was filed by Robert Kocharyan's lawyer, Aram Orbelian, claiming the refutation of slanderous statements and demanding compensation of two million Armenian drams. The basis for the lawsuit was a statement made by Silva Hambardzumyan during a press conference at the 'Hayatsk' press club on November 2, 2018, where she said, 'In 2008, I made a large deal with the Arabs and, in order not to be hindered, I paid both the president of the republic, Kocharyan Robert, and ...'"
