Blizzard in Aparan, Other Roads Impassable
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of February 6, at 21:00, there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads in the territory of Armenia.
The Vardenyats Pass is closed to all types of vehicles. Difficult conditions persist on the 68-70 km section of the Yerevan-Aparan highway, as well as on the Sotk-Karavajar, Kayk-Vardenis, Sipan-Geghardzor roads, and the roads to the villages of Yeghegnadzor and Mravyan in Aragatsotn region, and in the Tsaghkadzor area.
Black ice is observed in places on the Kapan-Goris roads, as well as on the Saravan-'Zanger' and Sisian-'Zanger' sections.
Blizzard conditions are reported in the Aparan region of Aragatsotn.
According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Management Department and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia's North Ossetia, the Stepanstmin-da-Larsi road is open for passenger vehicles, but closed for trucks, with 580 trucks reportedly accumulated on the Russian side.
