The Future of Driver Number 99 Will Be Determined After Police Decision - Hakob Karapetyan
The press secretary of the Yerevan Mayor, Hakob Karapetyan, made a post on his Facebook page.
“The driver of number 99, who was involved in an accident today while intoxicated on Isakov Avenue, did not register at the dispatcher point this morning as required. According to current regulations, the driver must report to the dispatcher point serving the route every morning, receive a stamped route sheet, undergo the necessary inspections, and then set off on the route. Onik Adamyan, the driver of the ‘Gazelle’ number 99, did not enter the dispatcher’s office this morning, did not receive a route sheet, and did not undergo an inspection. Adamyan's driving future will be clarified after the decision of the Road Police. However, it is known that driving a vehicle under the recorded degree of intoxication is punishable by a revocation of driving rights for 2 years. If any of the victims from the traffic accident files a complaint, criminal prosecution may also follow,” he wrote.
