Armenia's First Ambassador to Iceland Presents Credentials to President Jóhannesson

Armenia's newly appointed ambassador to the Republic of Iceland, Alexander Arzumanyan (based in Stockholm), presented his credentials to the President of Iceland, Guðni Th. Jóhannesson, on February 4.

According to the information provided by the Press and Public Diplomacy Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, following the credential presentation ceremony, Ambassador Arzumanyan had a private conversation with President Jóhannesson.

The President welcomed the Armenian government's decision to appoint the first ambassador to Iceland. At the President's request, the ambassador presented the progress of democratic reforms being implemented in Armenia, the latest developments regarding the peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and the prospects for Armenia-EU cooperation.

The parties also discussed a wide range of issues related to deepening the bilateral relations between Armenia and Iceland.
