Manvel Grigoryan Remains in Intensive Care, Lawyer Says

Manvel Grigoryan has become paralyzed over the past two years. Armenian medicine is powerless to prevent the worsening of his conditions. This was stated by Levon Barseghyan, a member of Grigoryan’s defense team, during a conversation with reporters.

Barseghyan refuted claims that Grigoryan had briefly gone home and returned, saying, “I deny it; such a thing is not true. He was moved from the ward to the intensive care unit and is currently still there.”

According to the lawyer, Grigoryan’s illnesses have worsened due to treatment-related negligence, and if the higher authorities do not heed this situation, the responsibility will fall on them.

Manvel Grigoryan was arrested under Part 2 of Article 235 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia on charges of illegal possession of weapons and ammunition, misappropriating property worth over 101 million drams, avoiding the payment of over 1 billion drams in taxes, misusing state funds exceeding 1 billion drams, and organizing the theft of property valued at 37 million drams through extortion.
