Margarita Simonyan and Karen Shakhnazarov Nominated for the Board of Directors of Russia's Channel One
Margarita Simonyan, the editor-in-chief of the Russian Russia Today television channel and the "Russia Today" news agency, and Karen Shakhnazarov, the general director of Mosfilm, have been included in the list of candidates for the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Commission of Russia's Channel One. This was reported by the TASS news agency.
The document signed by the new Prime Minister of Russia, Mikhail Mishustin, was published on the government's website. The announcement states that if elected, Simonyan and Shakhnazarov will represent the Russian Federation on the Board of Directors of Channel One.
