Foreign Ministry Spokesperson on David Shahnazaryan's Statements
The former head of the National Security Service and political figure David Shahnazaryan's analyses have no relevance to today's reality. This was stated by the Foreign Ministry spokesperson Anna Naghdalyan.
“The analyses made by David Shahnazaryan may be appealing to the Azerbaijani side or the circles disseminating them; however, their main flaw is that they bear no relation to today's reality,” said Anna Naghdalyan.
David Shahnazaryan announced that substantive negotiations are taking place in Geneva, discussing a wide range of issues. “Key topics include the creation of joint settlement zones for Armenians and Azerbaijanis in Nagorno-Karabakh, with the Shushi issue being discussed first, as well as the intensification of substantive negotiations. In this context, just yesterday, during the ongoing negotiations in Geneva, the U.S. ambassador to Azerbaijan, Lee Litzenberger, met on his own initiative with the head of the Azerbaijani community of Nagorno-Karabakh, Tural Ganjaliyev,” he noted.
