Mkhitaryan Named Year’s Best Football Player, HFF Summarizes Results
Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the captain of the Armenian national football team and midfielder for Italian club Roma, has been recognized as Armenia's best football player for 2019.
According to the official website of the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA), the results of the voting for the 'Best Player of the Year' category have been summarized for 2019. 'Collecting 109 points, Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been acknowledged as Armenia's best football player for 2019,' the statement reads.
It is noteworthy that Mkhitaryan has received this accolade for the 9th time. In second place, with 104 points, is Sargis Adamyan, a forward for the Armenian national team and German club Hoffenheim. Tigran Barseghyan, a forward for the Armenian national team and Kazakh club Astana, ranks third with 61 points.
The FFA also announced the best coach of the year today. As a result of the voting, Vardan Minasyan, the head coach of Ararat-Armenia, received this title with 84 points.
