The captain of the Armenian national football team, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, considers it an honor to be recognized as the best football player in the country for the 9th time. Mkhitaryan wrote on his Facebook page: “It has always been a great honor for me to become the best football player of my country, now for the 9th time. Thank you to everyone who voted.”

Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been recognized as the best football player in Armenia for 2019. The Football Federation of Armenia has summarized the results of the voting for the category of “Best Football Player of the Year” in 2019. With a total of 109 points, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the captain of the Armenian national team and midfielder for the Italian club Roma, has been named the country’s best player for the 9th time. In second place is Sargis Adamsyan, forward for the Armenian national team and the German club Hoffenheim, with 104 points. In third place with 61 points is Tigran Barseghyan, forward for the Armenian national team and the Kazakh club Astana.
