The activities of the financial company 'Varks Ay Em', which specializes in granting short-term loans, have been suspended in Artsakh.
According to a report from Artsakhpress, this was announced today during a press conference by the Minister of Finance of Artsakh, Arthur Harutyunyan, in response to a question raised by reporters. He added that the company's processes were halted just a month after the launch of the system.
The minister noted that after receiving alerts from citizens, they discussed the issue with the relevant authorities and decided to suspend the loan provision process.
According to him, at present, the office of 'Varks Ay Em' operating in Stepanakert is only engaged in the collection of previously granted loans. It is worth noting that for some time, residents of Artsakh were obtaining loans from the office of 'Varks Ay Em' operating in Goris as well.
