Driver in Lexus Causes Fatal Accident Involving 81-Year-Old Woman

On January 23rd, a fatal accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 21:10, a driver of a Lexus RX350 with license plate 13 LX 013, identified as 62-year-old Mikayel Sargsyan, hit a pedestrian, 81-year-old Knarik Aslanyan, near the building at Bagratuni Street 26.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the driver did not flee the scene and called for Yerevan's 1-03 ambulance service. The medical team that arrived promptly confirmed the pedestrian's death.

The driver underwent a sobriety test at the scene, which revealed he was sober. However, he soon began to feel unwell and was taken to the hospital by the Ambulance emergency medical services.
