VIDEO: 'Drift' in Vanadzor – Police Response

On January 17, the Taron division of the police received operational information that on January 16, between 10:00 PM and 11:30 PM, the driver of a 'VAZ 2121' car and several other drivers were engaging in high-speed drifting maneuvers, significantly disrupting traffic at Hayk Square in Vanadzor. Their actions created hazardous situations, exhibiting a blatant disregard for other traffic participants, citizens present in the square, and local residents, and severely violating public order.

On January 17, thanks to the explanatory work of the Taron police division's officers, the 22-year-old driver of the 'VAZ 2121' car came to the station and provided an explanation. The vehicle has been transferred to a special area maintained by the Road Police. It was revealed that during the same period, 13 other drivers also violated public order in a similar manner with their vehicles. The identities of all the drivers have been established. Some have been located and have given explanations. Measures are being taken to identify the others.
