Video Captures Moment of Major and Tragic Car Accident in Ararat

Shamshyan.com presents a video showing how a major and tragic car accident occurred in the Ararat region on January 17. An Opel, under still unclear circumstances, left the roadway and collided with metal guardrails, subsequently hitting an iron advertising pole and splitting in half.

As a result of the accident, the 18-year-old driver and his 18-year-old passenger died in the hospital's intensive care unit. Earlier reports indicated that at around 6:00 PM on January 17, the driver of an Opel Astra with license plate 36 GR 394 crashed into the metal guardrails on the 34 km section of the Yerevan-Erasakh highway, traveled approximately 20 meters, and collided with the advertising pole's column.

Due to the impact, the vehicle was split in half and thrown in different directions. Two individuals were extricated from the car with extremely severe injuries by bystanders and transported to the Artashat Medical Center. The hospital reported that the injured did not regain consciousness in the intensive care unit and ultimately passed away.
