Driver Dies Suddenly at the Wheel, Causes Accident
On January 20, a tragic incident occurred in the Kotayk region. At around 18:25, the Charentsavan police department received a call reporting that a medical team had been dispatched to the Charentsavan-Karenis crossroads, where a man's body was discovered in a vehicle.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, officers from the 2nd platoon of the 3rd battalion of the road police arrived at the scene, led by platoon commander Arthur Petrosyan and squad commander Sargis Bagratyan. An operational group from the Charentsavan police department, headed by department chief Janik Marutyan, also arrived at the scene.
The police found the body of 59-year-old Vladislav Harutyunyan, a resident of Charentsavan, in a Volkswagen Touareg vehicle with the license plate 90 PO 001.
A group from the Kotayk regional investigative department of the Armenian Investigative Committee, led by senior investigator Dallakyans, also arrived at the scene. According to the preliminary conclusions of the forensic doctor, no signs of violence were found on the body.
Preliminary information suggests that Harutyunyan died suddenly while driving, which led to the accident.
