Car Blocked by Snow in Gegharkunik Region, Later Involved in Accident

On January 18, at 17:37, a call was received at the 911 emergency center reporting that a car had left the roadway and became stuck in the snow near the village of Geghovit, Gegharkunik region.

A unit from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that a “Mercedes W124” vehicle (driver: Karen K.) had become blocked on the 22nd km of the Martuni-Getap road. The rescuers freed the vehicle from the snow and it continued on its way.

On the way back, the rescuers noticed that the freed “Mercedes W124” had collided with a road barrier at the 10th km of the Martuni-Getap road. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported. The rescuers disconnected the vehicle's battery and closed the gas valve.
