Fire in First Floor of Media Building Extinguished, According to Emergency Situations Ministry
On January 18, at 11:47 AM, the 911 emergency call center received a report of a fire on the first floor of the Media Building, located on Arshakunyats Avenue in Yerevan.
Four firefighting teams were dispatched to the scene under the complexity level '1-BIS', along with an operational group from the department for organization of firefighting and rescue operations of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The fire was contained by 1:41 PM and extinguished by 2:03 PM. Rescuers evacuated 50 citizens from the building.
In the air duct on floors 1-8, the insulation of electrical cables burned, while in one of the first-floor rooms (covering an area of 15 sq. m), electrical meters and household items were damaged. Additionally, on the third floor, the door and ceiling of one of the rooms were singed by the heat.
