Accident Occurred; Driver Hospitalized
On January 17, at 17:32, a call was received by the "911" service reporting that a traffic accident had taken place near house number 43 on Shiraz Street in Yerevan. A vehicle collided with a tree and then with a wall, and there was a fuel leak.
A firefighting unit from the Emergency Situations Ministry's Rescue Department in Yerevan was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that a "Nissan Tiida" (driver: Arthur N., born in 1985) had veered off the road and crashed into a tree, subsequently hitting the wall of the "Klyak" furniture production site. Fortunately, there was no fuel leak.
Before the rescuers arrived on site, the driver was hospitalized at "Erebuni" Medical Center. Doctors have assessed his condition as satisfactory. Rescuers have cordoned off the area.
