Armed Attack on Ardshinbank Occurred

On January 14, a robbery took place in the Lori province. At around 09:45, a citizen armed with a knife entered the Ardshinbank branch located at 194 Yerevan Street in the town of Tashir and demanded money from an employee under the threat of the knife.

As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, thanks to the quick and efficient actions of the police officer Arman Antonyan from the State Protection Department of the Police, the robber was neutralized. An operational group from the Tashir police station arrived in response to the alert and apprehended the 'hero' from the bank branch.

A criminal case has been initiated in the Stepanavan investigative department of the Lori Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia based on the characteristics of armed robbery. By the investigator's decision, the suspect, 33-year-old Sevak Nazaryan from Shakhumyan Street in Tashir, has been arrested. Ara Barseghyan, the manager of the Ardshinbank branch in Tashir, reported the incident to law enforcement.
