The Failure of the Nuclear Deal with Iran Holds Serious Consequences for the Region, Lavrov Says

The failure of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) concerning Iran's nuclear program could result in negative repercussions for the Middle Eastern region and the world at large. This statement was made by Sergey Lavrov, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

“We are convinced that if the trend of non-fulfillment of United Nations Security Council decisions, which Washington has imposed on all countries without exception, continues, it could lead to serious negative consequences for the entire region and for international relations as a whole,” Lavrov stated at a press conference following a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, according to RIA Novosti.
