Magnus Carlsen Crowned World Champion, Aronian Captures 15th Place
The World Rapid Chess Championship has concluded in Moscow, with the Norwegian Magnus Carlsen emerging victorious. He scored a total of 16.5 points, according to Armsport.am.
In second place, also with 16.5 points, was Hikaru Nakamura from the United States. Russian Vladimir Kramnik finished third with 15 points.
Armenia's leading player, Levon Aronian, secured the 15th position after scoring 13.5 points from 21 rounds. Other Armenian chess players finished as follows:
