Entrances to Republic Square Roads to be Closed on December 31
The Police of the Republic of Armenia informs that on December 31, due to festive events, the entrances to the roads leading to Republic Square will be closed starting at 18:00. Pedestrian access will open at 19:30, while vehicle access will resume after the conclusion of the events.
“Dear citizens, New Year is a celebration for all of us, and this year we will celebrate it together, so we must collectively take measures to ensure that festive spirits are not disrupted by any incident, maintain public safety, and uphold the dignity of citizenship through our conduct. For the safety of all, we kindly ask you to refrain from bringing flammable materials, pyrotechnic products, fireworks, and similar items to the event venue. Again, with the necessity of ensuring safety, we urge you to avoid filming the event with drones. We expect everyone's understanding and cooperation and once again call for collective efforts to ensure public safety so that the festive atmosphere of the day does not overshadow the celebration. We wish everyone a Merry New Year and Happy Christmas,” reads the statement released by the Police.
