The singer and Honored Artist of Armenia, Nune Yesayan, stated during an appearance on Armnews television that she has never engaged in politics and has no desire to do so. She emphasized that during the presidencies of two Armenian leaders, Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan, the priority was peace, and she is not interested in anything else.

Speaking about the events of April 2018, Yesayan mentioned that everyone knows she first and foremost respects Serzh Sargsyan as a person. “If you had seen me outside during the revolution, wouldn't you have said, 'What are you doing?' Serzh Sargsyan has been a figure of a man for me, and even interacting with him has been a great pleasure,” she shared.
