There Are Also Other Structures and Individuals Left from the Past in Power: Tonoyan

Iveta Tonoyan, a member of the Prosperous Armenia faction in the National Assembly, stated during a press briefing that Hrayr Tovmasyan and other members of the Constitutional Court are not their idol. “What do you think, should Prosperous Armenia vote in favor in order for them to receive so much money for not performing their duties?”

She finds it unacceptable that judges who do not enjoy public trust are being sent to a glorious retirement, as she puts it. According to the MP, this is done with the aim of filling the Constitutional Court with 'docile' judges. She also notes: “It has been consistently mentioned that the Constitutional Court is a remnant of the past, but there are other structures and officials left from the past who are currently in power.” In response to the question about not being proactive, she said that they address particular issues as deemed necessary.
