I Wanted to Visit My Father's Grave, They Didn't Let Me: Khachaturyan
Today, former Secretary General of the CSTO Yuri Khachaturyan stated during the trial of the March 1 case that he was not allowed to cross the Armenian-Georgian border.
“The border police told me, ‘I respect you a lot, but I cannot allow you to cross,’” Khachaturyan said. “I just wanted to visit the cemetery. My father’s, mother’s, and younger brother’s graves are only 3-4 hours away from the border.”
It is worth noting that Khachaturyan's lawyer had requested the court to lift the ban on his client crossing the border; however, after discussing the motion, Judge Anna Danibekyan rejected it.
