Moscow Calls on Armenians and Azerbaijanis to Continue Reciprocal Visits
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, commented during her weekly briefing on the reciprocal visits of Armenian and Azerbaijani journalists as part of humanitarian efforts to prepare the peoples for peace.
“We view this joint initiative as an intention by both sides to restore communication between Armenians and Azerbaijanis. We believe that such humanitarian actions, aimed at preparing the population for peace, should continue. And we will certainly support these activities,” she stated.
The Russian Foreign Ministry's representative also noted that within the framework of potential humanitarian measures, there may be a possibility to ease the fate of individuals imprisoned in the territories of the conflicting parties.
