Why has Serzh Sargsyan become more active?
The newspaper "Zhoughourdt" writes: "The third president Serzh Sargsyan has become more active lately, even speaking about the possibility of his own arrest. According to the information from the 'Zhoughourdt' newspaper, there are many discussions in the Republican Party regarding Sargsyan's unfulfilled promises.
They have no explanation as to why, for instance, he declared that he would pass the leadership of the Republican Party to Vigen Sargsyan, yet he never did. The team is also disappointed that Sargsyan had promised he would become the Prime Minister of Armenia, but that promise remains unfulfilled as well. Now there are rumors circulating that he once had direct communication with Nikol Pashinyan. Why did Serzh Sargsyan’s office suddenly decide to make a special statement that Sargsyan has never met with Pashinyan?
In an interview with the "Zhoughourdt" newspaper, MP Hrachya Hakobyan from the "My Step" faction stated: "They simply lack attention, once again trying to link their name with Nikol Pashinyan. Each time they will melodramatically announce about being judged or arrested... They are definitely rejected. They still talk big and say that we can be the only opposition to the current authorities, and they asked, 'Really?'"
