Citizen Obtains Loan Under Another Person's Name

The Investigation Committee of the Republic of Armenia is taking measures to clarify all circumstances related to the illegal acquisition and use of official documents in the criminal case being investigated by the Central and Norq-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan.

According to preliminary data, on December 27, 2018, an unidentified individual, representing a credit organization operating on Mkhitar Gosh Street in Yerevan, using a lost identification card of an Armenian citizen without their knowledge and consent, signed a loan agreement in the citizen's name and received 150,000 AMD.

A criminal case was initiated at the Malatia Department of the RA Police under Part 1 of Article 325 and Article 326 of the RA Criminal Code, which is being investigated by the Central and Norq-Marash administrative districts of the Investigation Committee.

During the investigation, footage from security cameras belonging to the credit organization at the aforementioned address was obtained, capturing the individual committing the apparent crime.

Efforts are underway to identify the person depicted in the footage. Anyone who recognizes the individual or has any information regarding their identity or whereabouts is urged to inform the Central and Norq-Marash investigative division of the RA Investigation Committee in Yerevan.
