Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has stated that the connection of Azerbaijan's main territory to Nakhchivan has been their long-standing dream. "The connection of the main part of Azerbaijan to Nakhchivan has been our long-standing dream," said President Aliyev.

In other statements, the Azerbaijani leader mentioned that the establishment of the "Zangezur corridor" has been an initiative of Azerbaijan. "We confidently and skillfully moved towards this goal, we approached it and have already come close to it." Discussing the Horadiz - Agbend road, President Aliyev noted that it is almost ready. "Only a few minor issues remain. The construction of the railway is also progressing at a rapid pace. We can accelerate this project at any time, but we do not see the need because the Armenian side is not prepared."

The Azerbaijani armed forces hold significant weight in the region, and Nakhchivan's military capabilities are strengthening day by day and will continue to strengthen. "Every visit I make carries great significance and outstanding results. Over the years, many important projects have been implemented, ensuring the overall development of Nakhchivan," he added.

The solar energy potential in Nakhchivan is enormous. According to the conducted monitoring and precise analysis, Nakhchivan is the most favorable place for solar electricity production in Azerbaijan. "If today there are unique countries in our region that do not face electricity supply problems, Azerbaijan ranks first among them. For various reasons, there is an energy crisis developing in our region, which may deepen. These include the ongoing wars in our region, increasing risks, disruptions in transportation chains related to energy carriers, and other factors. It is not excluded that new unfortunate events may occur in the future," he warned.
