Thunderstorms, Heavy Rain, and Hail: Weather in Armenia on August 12

On August 12, short-term rain and thunderstorms are expected in most regions of Armenia during the night and the second half of the day. In some areas, the precipitation may be intensive, and hail is also possible. During thunderstorms, the eastern and northeastern winds will intensify, reaching speeds of 20-25 m/s.

In the Armavir region, as well as in the foothills of Aragatsotn and Kotayk, and in some areas of Shirak, the wind will intensify in the evening hours, reaching 17-20 m/s.

According to the Armenian State Hydrometeorological Service, in Yerevan, short-term rain and thunderstorms are forecasted during the night and in some areas of the evening, when wind speeds will reach 18-23 m/s. The temperature in the capital tonight will be +17+19, while tomorrow during the day it will be +31+33.

Temperature forecasts for the regions are as follows: in Shirak, +9+14 at night and +24+27 during the day; in the mountainous regions of Kotayk, +8+13 at night and +21+25 during the day; in the foothills of Kotayk, +15+18 at night and +27+30 during the day; in the Sevan lake basin, +9+14 at night and +20+24 during the day; in Lori, +11+16 at night and +22+26 during the day; in Tavush, +16+19 at night and +27+32 during the day; in the mountains of Aragatsotn, +8+12 at night and +19+23 during the day; in the foothills of Aragatsotn, +14+19 at night and +28+32 during the day; in Ararat, +16+20 at night and +31+34 during the day; in Armavir, +15+18 at night and +31+34 during the day; in the mountains of Vayots Dzor, +8+12 at night and +18+23 during the day; in the foothills of Vayots Dzor, +16+20 at night and +31+34 during the day; in the valleys of Syunik, +18+22 at night and +30+34 during the day; and in the foothills of Syunik, +12+16 at night and +23+27 during the day.
