Azerbaijani expert Tatevik Hayrapetyan has stated: "I hope that the Armenian Foreign Ministry will not criticize Aliyev's statements from yesterday in any way, particularly his remarks regarding interference in the internal affairs of the Republic of Armenia.

In reality, Aliyev's recent speech, which includes overt texts about interfering in the internal affairs of the Republic of Armenia, not only contradicts the rhetoric of peace but also contradicts the text of the agreement pre-signed in Washington on August 8, which clearly states that the parties have no right to interfere in each other's internal affairs.

In fact, Azerbaijan is currently deciding what kind of constitution Armenia should have, whether it should have a nuclear power plant or not, and it allows itself to express all of this overtly. Under the guise of peace, a 'Finnlandization' process is occurring in Armenia; just as Finland was subjected to the considerable influence of dictations from the Soviet Union based on the situation at the time, the Armenian government has now agreed to make Armenia a country that is subject to Azerbaijan's conditions.

Unfortunately, this is happening with the approval of various external actors, as Armenia itself has decided not to fight, not to resist, and to take no steps to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity. What is being presented is not peace, but a process of fulfilling Azerbaijan's list of dreams, which is effectively being carried out by the ruling 'Let's Destroy the State' party in Armenia."
