Russia Preparing for New Large-Scale Mobilization This Autumn, Zelensky Says

The President of Ukraine has stated on Telegram that a report has been received from the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine's Ministry of Defense, led by Oleg Ivashchenko, regarding preparations for a mobilization in Russia, which is confirmed by Russian internal documents.

According to him, this is being prepared for the autumn, immediately after the parliamentary elections. Zelensky noted that Putin's aim is to create the impression that Russians support the war, as all authorized parties participating in the elections are, in one way or another, against peace.

After these elections, he plans to mobilize several hundred thousand Russians at an accelerated pace by the end of the year, with just as many slated for next year, coinciding with the recruitment of contract servicemen.

The President of Ukraine added that they are preparing to take active steps to make the implementation of these plans as difficult as possible for Russia, and he has given relevant directives to intelligence and special services.
