The "ZapSibNeftekhim" oil refining complex located in Russia has suspended its operations due to an attack by Ukrainian drones.

Located in the city of Tobolsk in the Tyumen region, the facility, operated by the SIBUR group, ceased operations on August 10 following the strikes from unmanned aerial vehicles. This information was reported by Reuters, citing industry sources.

One source indicated that the largest liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) production plant in Russia has halted its operations indefinitely to assess the extent of the damage and its consequences. Industry representatives informed Reuters that ZapSibNeftekhim produces about 6 million tons of LPG annually, accounting for nearly 40% of Russia's total production. Approximately half of the LPG produced at the plant serves as feedstock for the integrated complex of SIBUR in Tobolsk.
