Arpine Hovhannisyan Believes the Judge in Kocharian's Case Should be Removed

On the previous day, while watching the most significant political trial, my conviction grew that it is in the interest of the authorities for this woman to be removed from the trial. This was stated by former Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Arpine Hovhannisyan on her Facebook page, referring to the trial of Robert Kocharian and others. She titled her post: 'The Imperative of Anna Danibekyan's Removal.'

In particular, she noted: 'By the way, this is my first time addressing the proceedings involving this judge. Firstly, she does not comply with the Constitutional Court's decisions regarding the unconstitutionality of Article 35 of the Criminal Procedure Code, nor in terms of applying bail, rejecting that petition from a legal standpoint, even when this legal issue has been RESOLVED by the corresponding decision. Moreover, her negative attitude towards the defense team was evident, particularly during the last session when it manifested through gross legal violations, interruptions, rejections, etc., which, by the way, were ignored in the case of the prosecution.' Additionally, there is a clear sense of grievance and vengefulness on the part of the judge. She appears to take offense from a question posed by the detained individuals in line with the Prime Minister's rhetoric (wondering if she is a 'whimpering figure') and is inexplicably taking revenge on the defense team for the raising of that question. She rejects whatever is possible without delving into the presented arguments. She has closed herself off and does not want to see that by her behavior, she is positively answering the question posed to her every moment. Furthermore, she proves that she enjoys being this way.

Armen Danielyan and this woman, in the medium term, are a gift to the defense team of the second president, and when, for example, a rhetorical and politicized question arises about why this trial is not starting, the answer must be sought there. In general, they say that everything, even serving, fearing, and submitting, is good in moderation; the most servile, cowardly, and submissive are a problem for the masters themselves. And it is the lawyers' job to gradually show, primarily to the external audience, that this is an exclusively political trial. And figures like Danielyan and Danibekyan only assist in this regard.

P.S. Although I do not know the judge personally, if I were confident that Anna Danibekyan retained her formerly attributed qualities—modesty, working with her head down, and delving into the matter—my assessments would not be so harsh.
