«Hraparak». Russia Needs to Form a Strong Opposition in Armenia, and BHK Has a Role to Play

«Hraparak» newspaper writes: Recently, the noticeable rigidity in the relations between the BHK (Prosperous Armenia Party) and the government is not so much due to the agenda presented by Gevorg Petrosyan but rather stems from deeper roots.

According to our information, the BHK has received external signals to become a radical opposition, particularly from Russia, which has indicated that it will not allow the comprehensive support for Nikol Pashinyan's government as it did in the past, and that it will not suddenly form a coalition again.

Now Russia needs a strong opposition to be formed in Armenia, and the BHK has a role to play in this regard. Following these signals, the BHK has hardened its stance. Their first show of strength was yesterday, when they unanimously voted down the bill proposing the participation of the Speaker of the National Assembly in the Security Council meetings and also declared that they would vote against next year's budget proposal.
