Judge Rejects Recusal Motion in Kocharian and Others Case
The judge of the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction, Anna Danibekyan, did not recuse herself in the case of Kocharian and others. Shortly after returning from the consultation room, Danibekyan announced her decision, thus rejecting the defense's earlier motion for recusal.
It is noteworthy that the defense had submitted a recusal motion against Anna Danibekyan once again today, arguing that she has a negative biased attitude towards Kocharian and has exhibited inconsistent approaches.
The prosecutor, Petros Petrosyan, opposed the motion, asserting that attempts are being made to prolong the proceedings by filing motions and to lead the court process into a deadlock.
